Plymouth Supported Living Scheme – 12th April 2019 – Update

So my normal 6 hour drive to Plymouth last week was a little bit different,  in that it included stops at both Manchester and Exeter Airports with part of my journey by air,  it was a much more relaxing way to travel, definitely the way forward.

We are now 6 weeks in to a 24 week conversion of the former “Rockville Park Day & Respite Service” and its grounds in to a wonderfully spacious Supported Living Service, consisting of 10 self-contained units, 8 of which will be fully wheelchair enabled use. Alongside the main house we have a fully accessible 4 bedroom house, currently used as supported living.

As you can see from the images, the build works are well much underway, with the creation of the units clearly visual.

TP Supported Accommodation, started our initial discussions on this project in September 2017, with purchase completed in July 2018, full planning granted 23rd January 2019, expecting completion of works and our first tenant moving in August 2019.

To this point we would like to thank,  Plymouth City Council Commissioners for their unwavering support and our Design and Build contractors in Whitebrick Design and EC Build for all of their excellent work to date. It was really good to finally meet with the Care Provider who have been chosen to open this project, more news on this to follow.
